Vintage Polish Poster | Chopin Piano Competition | Tomasz Szulecki art

Frederic Chopin has maintained worldwide renown as a leading musician of his era, one whose poetic genius was based on a professional technique that was without equal in his generation. Born in 1810 in Poland, his work remains popular, and the International Chopin Piano Competition (celebrated in this wonderful poster), hosted by Poland, remains the only global competition devoted solely to one composer. In 1831, Chopin relocated to Paris, France, never to live in his home country Poland again. There he met and associated with the famous personalities of Franz Liszt and Eugene Delacroix, among others. The British Library notes that “Chopin’s works have been recorded by all the great pianists of the recording era.” There is no other more famous piano composer than Frederic Chopin. This vintage Polish poster from 1970 by Tomasz Sulecki is rare and in excellent condition, ready for framing and display in your home.
