Vintage Polish Posters | Jazz Jamboree | Rafal Olbinski

Own a piece of Polish jazz and poster history.

The Jazz Jamboree is one of Europe’s oldest and most celebrated jazz festivals, with roots dating back to 1958, when the first three-day festival—then called “Jazz 58”—was held in Warsaw, Poland.

This striking poster was designed by Rafał Olbiński, one of the most important artists of the renowned Polish School of Posters. Born in Poland in 1943 and later based in the United States, Olbiński is internationally recognized for his distinctive style of “poetic surrealism,” often drawing comparisons to the work of Belgian surrealist René Magritte.

His work can be found in prestigious collections including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, and the Poster Museum in Warsaw.
