The Call of the Wild<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is a short adventure novel by\u00a0Jack London<\/a>, published in 1903 and set in Yukon, Canada, during the 1890s Klondike, when strong sled dogs were in high demand. The central character of the novel is a dog named Buck. He becomes progressively more primitive and wild in the harsh environment, where he is forced to fight to survive and dominate other dogs. By the end, he sheds the veneer of civilization, and relies on primordial instinct and learned experience to emerge as a leader in the wild. The book secured London a place in the canon of American literature.<\/sup>\u00a0The first printing of 10,000 copies sold out immediately; it is still one of the best-known stories written by an American author and continues to be read and taught in schools.<\/sup><\/sup> It has been published in 47 languages. It is based on\u00a0Jack London<\/a>‘s 1903 novel of the same name. The poster artist Jakub Erol <\/strong>(1941-2018) was an illustrator and graphic designer within the Polish School of Posters. He graduated from the Warsaw Fine Art Academy in 1968, where he was a student of Professor Henryk Tomaszewski<\/strong>. He later worked with the National Publishing Agency and the Film Distribution Headquarters (commonly called Polish Film<\/strong>), for which he created several hundred film posters for Polish and foreign films.
